Charlie is finally feeling a bit better now that our busy week is over. Poor guy had a fever on and off most of this week but with Ryan gone I still had to get a lot of things done. I took him grocery shopping at the commissary yesterday, only because we really really needed a few items. Charlie, however, wanted to be held and would not sit in the "beep beep cart" like he usually does, so I had to push the cart with one hand while holding him over my shoulder with the other hand through half of the store. I felt like the worst mom dragging my sick child through the store. But luckily when we got to the soup aisle, Charlie spotted a can of chicken noodle soup with a Disney Cars label on them.

He pointed and pathetically whispered, "want da Cars, Mommy." I handed him the can of soup and he was so delighted with his "car soup" that he walked through the entire other half of the store by himself, hugging his can of car soup. This first picture is a picture of Charlie helping "cook" his special can of car soup tonight. Poor guy must have known that when you are sick, nothing makes you feel better than a bowl of chicken noodle soup. And you feel even better if the noodles are shaped like cars!! He was so cute at dinner too; he kept laughing and saying, "da cars are swimmin!! Now I eat da cars! Bye bye cars!" I have never seen a boy so delighted over just a simple can of soup... Thank goodness for commercialism! :) By the way, Kate would not touch the car soup but instead stuck with her favorite soup - Double Noodle (with no chicken and she picks the carrots out...). I guess I need to find a can of Tinkerbell chicken noodle...
The other bit of cuteness I wanted to share is that we took Max in to the vet (for his neuter) this week and when it was time to go get Max I asked Charlie, "do you want to go pick Max up?" He and Max have really been bonding lately and Charlie seemed to really miss his puppy while he was gone so I was surprised when Charlie replied, "no, no pick Max up." But when I asked him why he looked surprised and said, "Max is too heavy!!" Ahhh, you have to love the literal thinking of a two year old. :) Happy Friday, everyone!
